Design Guidelines for Stormwater Networks & Flood Mitigation Projects

We were trusted by Ministry of Municipal Rural Affairs and Housing (MOMRAH) to develop and provide design guidelines for conducting the engineering design of the drainage elements associated with flood protection and storm drainage networks. The guidelines shall define the minimum requirements of a successful and thorough hydrological & hydraulic assessment, which, in turn, will facilitate the reviewing process by the assigned government officials. Evaluation of existing drainage structures shall also conform with the recommendations found in this document, in addition to the standard procedures for the Operation & Maintenance (O&M) of such structures. The Design guidelines utilize the design process and methodologies found in international design standards, Best Management Practices (BMP’s), as well as the conclusions of the acknowledged scientific research.
